On the way to Kandy, Visit “Elephant orphanage”, It is well known for its elephant orphanage halfway between the present capital Colombo and the ancient royal residence Kandy in the hills of central Sri Lanka.

The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.

After elephant orphanage next you can visit “Royal Botanical Garden” Situated in where the close proximity to the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is renowned for the collection the variety of Orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palms trees attach it is the National Herbarium.
Kandy city tour and Upper Lake drive & you can visit as well as “Spice garden”, and wood carving/batik /silk factories and gem museum and tea factory en route.

Day 06

After breakfast proceed to Yala via Ella gap. The journey will take approximately 5 hours. (Nuwara eliya to Yala 220 Km)
From nuwaraeliya to yala will stop for a short break at Ella.
Ella is most beautiful views, you could find in island.
This is a most famous among the tourist used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside.
A taste of the breathtaking scenery of Ella could be had, if you just walk into the Ella Rest House, where you seem to be standing at the edge of the world, and everything around you seems to disappear at your feet.
After Ella gap next you will passing a beautiful water fall “Ravana Ella”
After long journey stop for lunch at Thissa (thissamaharamaya.) Evening jeep safari at “yala national park.”
Yala National Park is the second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Situated in the southeast region of the island in the dry zone. The park is about 300 km from Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
Much of the reserve is parkland, but it also contains jungle, beaches, freshwater lakes and rivers and scrubland. The latter zone is punctuated with enormous rocky outcrops. The range of habitats gives rise to a good range of wildlife. Yala has one of the world's highest concentrations of Leopards, although seeing this largely nocturnal carnivore still requires some luck.

Day 06

Early morning proceed to Horton Plains National Park – 20 miles (32 km) from Nuwara Eliya via Ambewela and Pattipola, is the Horton Plains only 3160 hectares in extent. Known to Sri Lankans as Mahaeliya, it became Horton Plains after Sir Robert Horton, British Governor from 1831- 1837.
Horton Plains became a Nature Reserve in 1969 and upgraded as a National Park in 1988 due to its unique watershed and bio-diversity values.
Its flora has high level of endemism. The hills are covered with diverse wet low evergreen forest with even large trees grown flattened to the ground on the higher windswept slopes.
Horton Plains harbors 52 species of resident birds and 11 species of migrant birds.
More then 2,000 to 3,000 Sambhur, Bear Monkey, Leopard, Barking Deer, Giant Squirrel, Fishing Cat, Wild Boar and Hares roam in the forests and grasslands but only seldom they could be seen other than the Sambhur in the evening and morning
